Daedalic Entertainment Reveals New Gameplay Footage For Curse of the Crimson Stag
New gameplay footage shows daunting locations, puzzle-solving adventure, and hints at the mysteries at the heart of the Whiteroot Hotel.

Hamburg, Germany - August 18, 2026 - Daedalic Entertainment and developer One-O-One games have revealed brand new gameplay footage of chilling folk-horror thriller Curse of the Crimson Stag.
Set in and around the abandoned Whiteroot Hotel, this new trailer reveals glimpses of main character Brit's investigations in the oppressive woodland and crumbling hotel, her ghost hunting equipment, and the chilling omens that portend a supernatural mystery.
"We wanted to lean heavily into an unsettling folk-horror atmosphere, like that bright daylight dread you experience in movies like Midsommar," says Gaia Richelli, game director on Curse of the Crimson Stag.
"The core mission is connection," she adds. "I didn't want the player to just passively watch a story unfold. I wanted to break down the invisible wall between the screen and the player, making you feel deeply immersed and rooted into this world."
As well as the new trailer, more gameplay footage of Curse of the Crimson Stag has been revealed as part of the Daedalic Days - Late at Night showcase.
Curse of the Crimson Stag is a story-driven mystery thriller in which you explore the blurred lines between supernatural occurrences and past tragedy.
