The Occultist is Out Now, Inviting Players into the Shadows of Godstone
Psychological horror unfolds in a world shaped by memory, ritual, and unease
April 8, 2026

Valladolid, Spain / Hamburg, Germany – April 8, 2026 – The Occultist is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by DALOAR and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the first-person psychological horror game draws players to Godstone, a remote island where old rituals, buried memories, and unsettling truths still cling to the walls.
The Occultist builds dread through atmosphere, discovery, and the slow weight of what lies beneath the surface. Godstone is more than a backdrop. Its ruined paths, forgotten corners, and lingering echoes shape a world that feels unnerving, troubled, and alive with the past. As the story unfolds, exploration and narrative remain tightly bound together.

At the center of the experience is the pendulum, an occult tool that helps reveal hidden traces and guide the way through places marked by earlier lives and dark events. The game’s sense of unease is further deepened by rich audio design and an original score recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra.
Alan Rebels, the game’s protagonist, is voiced in English by Doug Cockle, best known as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher game series. His performance gives the journey a steady human presence as Godstone grows more disquieting with every step.
